Xiaomi has increased the prices of the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9A Sport smartphones in India once again. The Chinese brand had hiked the price of the Redmi 9A by ₹200 in October 2021 end. Now, the prices of both the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9A Sport have been increased by ₹300 each. This price hike is currently reflected on Amazon India’s and Xiaomi’s websites. This price hike is expected to be a result of the ongoing semiconductor shortage and supply chain issues. Both the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9A Sport come powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 processor and they feature an HD+ display, a dual-camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Redmi 9A 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM models now start at ₹7,299 and ₹8,299. respectively. Previously, these variants were priced at ₹6,999 and ₹7,999, respectively. The Redmi 9A Sport 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants now retail at ₹7,299 and ₹8,299, respectively. The new prices are effective starting from today.
